6th Supply Chain Risk Barometer – The Supply Chain facing the challenge of deglobalisation
The election of Donald Trump ends a year 2024 marked by the rise of nationalism, the intensification of wars in the Middle East and Ukraine, a proliferation of natural disasters and a sluggish global economy.
Against this backdrop of multiple crises, the implementation of his programme, far from easing tensions, risks accelerating the division of the world. Between protectionist measures in the United States, restrictive regulations in Europe and challenges to the Western economic and political order by the countries of the ‘Global South’, the very foundations of globalization and globalized Supply Chains are being called into question.
While companies have realized that the complexity and rigidity of their Supply Chain could represent an existential risk in the event of the failure or non-compliance of a single link, the challenge now is to adapt their strategy in order to regain control in a world of multi-constrained uncertainties, where agility will be decisive !
This 6th edition of the KYU Supply Chain Risk Barometer, carried out in partnership with Arts & Métiers, France Supply Chain, AMRAE and Belrim, is an opportunity to take the pulse of the Supply Chain, measure the evolution of the risks to which it is exposed, assess the maturity of organizations in meeting the new challenges, and identify and share trends and best management practices.
